STEPHEN W. WADE
Stephen Wade is a graduate of Highland High School and the University of Utah. He is a first generation dealer who got his start in the car business while working with a Sigma Chi brother (Robert Garff) selling cars. In 1973 Stephen became one of the youngest Mazda dealers in the country with a dealership in downtown Salt Lake City. In 1983 became a part owner of Ken Garff Ford (Salt Lake City) which he later sold.
Currently Owner – Dealer of Stephen Wade Auto Centers from 1985 to present with franchises that include Chevrolet, Cadillac, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, and Sprinter Vans.
In 1996 Dealer Collision Center opened to provide authorized auto body and paint refinishing services and in 2017 added Rocky Mountain Collision Center.
In 2018 Stephen Wade acquired the Brent Brown Toyota dealership in Orem, Utah now known as Orem Toyota.
Stephen served as past President of Utah Automobile Dealers Association and also past New Car Dealers Representative for State of Utah.
In 2011, Stephen was elected Chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association. Stephen played a major role as chairman for dealers nationwide to keep dealer assisted financing for consumers when direct lending was threatened by the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
In 2013, the New Car Dealers of Utah welcomed Stephen W. Wade into the Hall of Fame recognizing his contributions to the community and the automotive industry.
Today, The Stephen Wade Auto group has over 700 employees with plans to expand and grow the company.
